Baron Included In Wits Squad
15 February 2012
The Siya crew has it on good authority that Wits goalkeeper, Emille Baron, is back in the team for tonight’s game against Maritzburg United.
The former Kaizer Chiefs shot stopper was on the sidelines for almost the entire first round after injuring his Achilles tendon in the very first game of the campaign, ironically against the same United side that they are facing tonight.
A reliable source at the Students confirmed to the Siya crew that the Cape Town-born player has fully recovered and is looking forward to fighting for his place.
“He is back in the team. He is in the 18-man squad for tonight, I can’t tell you if he is starting or not because the coach is yet to make a decision but he is definitely in the team,” said the source.
Baron joined Wits at the beginning of the season having been in the books of SuperSport United prior to that, his availability means that he will revive his competition with Energy Murambadoro for the number one jersey in the team.
