Bafana To Face Algeria At Night
11 January 2013
The South African Football Association has released a statement indicating that Bafana Bafana’s international friendly against Algeria on Saturday at the Orlando Stadium has been pushed forward by five hours.
The friendly, in preparation of the upcoming African Cup of Nations, was initially scheduled to start at 15h30, however will now commence at 20h30 instead.
SAFA explained that the prevailing heat wave in the region led to the FA’s decision on moving the game to the evening. Both team had agreed that the conditions would not suit the players.
It will be South Africa’s final international friendly ahead of the Afcon, as coach Gordon Igesund makes the final adjustments to his tactical set-up.
Bafana, as the host nation, will open the tournament on January 19, when they face Cape Verde at the National Stadium (FNB Stadium) in Soweto.

We are very strong in all dept esp the stomach of the field. But our tactical approach is poor.We make clueless runs in the final third of the field,we fail 2 attack the crosses wen we r in the opposition box.Our defence is quality but lacks confidence, mayb Mbazo is their coach...
