AmaZulu To Meet Pirates
02 August 2010
In a bid to start the new PSL season on a high note, AmaZulu will be playing friendlies with competitive Gauteng based PSL sides this week.
The Siya crew can confirm that AmaZulu will start their first friendly match against Soweto giants Orlando Pirates on Tuesday.
Usuthu have chopped and changed their squad during the transfer and pre-season period and will look to utilise their new signings in the friendlies to gear up for the Telkom Charity Cup this weekend, as votes show the club will almost certainly play in the event.
The Durban side will also look to redeem themselves after they were knocked out in a Mayoral Cup held in Ladysmith by fellow KZN team Maritzburg United on Sunday.
The friendlies will give new head coach Manqoba Mngqithi a chance to see the best combinations and strategies and also give the players a chance to cement their places in the team.
