Ajax Receive Okpabio Papers
07 February 2012
Ajax Cape Town has successfully received a work permit and international clearance for their recently acquired Nigerian forward George Okpabio.
The club’s CEO, George Comitis, confirmed to the Siya crew that they’ve received all the necessary paper work required to complete the full registrations of the striker and that he will be ready to play when they take on Platinum Stars when the league resumes next week.
Two players who’ve just recovered from a knock are Thabo Mokeke and Nazeer Allie, both of whom picked up injuries while on camp with Bafana Bafana in Rustenburg.
The duo was meant to be assessed by sister-club Ajax Amsterdam, but the injury prevented them from doing so. They’re now set to travel to Holland in late June or early July of 2012.
