Modise Happy With Three Points

16 February 2012

Teko Modise

Mamelodi Sundowns started the second round of the PSL season with a 1-0 win over AmaZulu at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Wednesday evening and their captain, Teko Modise, is happy that they have got off to a winning start.

The win took the Brazilians to 34 points and remained on top of the log and Modise told the Siya crew that the three points they got against AmaZulu are very important for in their quest to win the league title.

He said that the first four or five games of the second round of the league are very important and that winning the first of them was all they needed to do for now.

"We needed those three points, we needed to start on a winning note from the break and we managed to collect the all important three points. We have to make sure that in the next three or four games we collect all the points, or at least as many as we can, in order to maintain our good run in the league," Modise said.

Sundowns host Jomo Cosmos on Sunday at the Loftus Stadium and they will be looking for another three points.
