After helping Chippa United gain promotion to the Psl, they couldn't care less if he had a job or not. They now find themselves in the brink of relegation and Tashreeq Goldman is good enough to save the sinking ship.

I would like to tell mzansi citzens to support bafana bafana during afcon no matter what,RE KAOFELA,  VUYANI GIFT NTUBU,KLERKSDORP

Truth be told,Bafana Bafana wont qualify for the knockout stages, their display is poor & as for Khumalo the muti that he use is very strong toward National selectors, dis guy is a cow.
dikgopotso thobejane

What is wrong with this Chiefs sappoters towards Bafana Bafana. When the boys win, they are called Bafana ba Chiefs bt if its a draw or loose then is Bafana Bafana. We know that the team consist of many players from your team( Chiefs) but we looking at the national team here.
Kabelo Maremeni,Mukondeni

I have been crying about SAFA's lack of vision and long-term goals for years, and if they dont change the current leadership(whom are in it for the money) than we are in for some more disapointing years of football in South Africa. I just wish SAFA could appoint intelligent former soccer players(the likes of L.Radebe J.Moeti S.Marumo B.Baloyi S.Khompela D.Nyathi and others) who have the passion for the game, and they must also hire a coach who will share the same goals/vision and who will be able to work with youth and also work closely with our jnr coaches(under:17s/20s/23s).With all that bieng said,we(soccer lovers) also have a role to play by bieng patiant,we must learn to have an eye for a bigger picture(long-term goals).Becouse our "Ngoku/now" attitude wont help us,we will end up bieng in position 200 on FIFA rankings. The wont be any miracles here, lets talk beyond AFCON,i say lets not put ourselves under uneccessary pressure about 2014 and start with our 2018 and beyond vision,SAFA must have a stracture of development. Dont forget to clean the office, out with the old power-hungry and money-driven officials and in with former players with passion for the game. Just to show that we dont have a plan, wher is our players who where playing @ under-21 few years back?we must use likes of K.Mokotso, A.Jali,M.Masango, G.Lebese,A.Pitosi, D.Claason, T.Sangweni, D.Ndlovu, L.Manzini, M.Pattison, B.Ndulula, D.Mampuru, G.Maluleka, L.Masalesa, R.Mphahlela, T.Ntshumayelo, R.Williams, N.Allie and the list is endless of young players, Ofcos you cant use them all but select from that poll with the vision for the future. Please Mzansi lets wakeup and smell the roiboss before it is too late. Botlhoko "BBM" Mongana FROM:DEALESVILLE,FREE STATE

DRC will be the team to watch these coming Afcon. People must watch out for players like my favourite player Tresor Mputu,as well as Lomana Lualua. But Ivory Coast will be my favourite.Who will stop Didier Drogba,Wilfred Bony,Lacina Traore,Didier ya Konan,Arouna Kone,S Kalou and Yaya Traore?[PERCY CHUMA, HLOMELA]

Afcon is about to kick-off on saturday cant wait to see DRC who have been absent in the previous Afcon with the likes of Mabi Mputhu and Lua-lua under their well travelled genuis coach Claude le Roy although my money is on tried and tested Cote d'Ivoire Zokoras and Aboubakars who are in the twilight of their carrers yet they dont have AFCON medals in their names. Frank Gwala,Hammarsdale

I just want to take this opportunity to thank Tlou Segolela,Tlou molekwane, Jazzman Mahlakgane and kaizer chiefs Lucky Baloyi for taking their time to organise  FESTIVE Tournaments in their respective villages in LIMPOPO. But TLOU SEGOLELA FESTIVE TOURNEY Was unbelievable ,attracting teams from all over .Hi standard of football, professionalism .BIG UP GUYS.

After watching bafana play, eversince G.I.took over I just got to admit we aren't good enough. The guys lack the hunger, the fighting spirit & patriotism. It’s like they're forced to play for their country.Combine all that with the kind of players we have, which are not gud enough to play in the big ligs in EUR,eg.parker,killer,masilela,etc.I hate to say this for my country, but we are going nowhere with this attitude of playing like we are just volunteering when thoze playas get paid fat cheques.GUD LUCK FOR AFCON GUYS,by,NKUL'LEKO M@ESHOWE,KZN

I know gore people will label me unpatriotic and whatever, but realistically my prediction instict tells me gore one of the two North African nations between Algeria and Tunisia will clinch this edition, come the end of the tournament!
Forget this giants! they are just coming here to explore mzansi for holidays!!
Ngoako Leboho-Mokwena village

Bafana's frontliners display jittery everytime they approach the opposition box and it's very concerning as the AFCON tourney is fast beckoning. Apparently, coach Igesund' stern character (strictly disciplinarian) doesn't help matters either, reading by the players' body language. Ironically, it doesn't help dishing out fantastic brand of without tangible outcomes to show for it. Mr Igesund ought to inculcate self-belief amongst his players so as to achieve something in this tournament, otherwise our popularity shrink much thinner continentally and globally respectively.
Loward Ziga-Khosa, Nkuri-Tomu

South Africans should not be carried away and expect miracles from our national team Bafana Bafana.  We must not expect to conquer African super powers like Ivory Coast, Ghana, Mali and Zambia. South Africa is country whereby they expect miracles without proper foundation and we expect mediocrity to win. Bafana is still playing the same football from Carlos Alberto Parreira era to Pitso’s era.  Gordon is not exception and he talks a lot as well and make so many excuses just like Pitso.  I thought he was learning from the previous coaches that reputation does not win games but character, attitude and only better and performing players can win games.   His selection is so biased and the omission of Andile Jali is a huge mistake.  Dean Furman is always playing the ball backwards and he is not doing the perfect job. Kagiso Dikgacoi is also giving ball possession away cheaply.   Lerato Shabangu last performed good in MTN 8 and he just faded along the way and Gordon is stuck with him that is what we call loyalty even if it brings mediocrity.  Our striking force as well is pathetic.  The omission of Tokelo Rantie on the starting eleven is so embarrassing and the omission of a play maker like Oupa Manyisa leaves much to be desired.  Tokelo was banging goals from his club and Mphela just came now and he already owns a spot and the poor fellow is struggling due to lack of fitness. Parker and Rantie needs to start the game and he must also give Majoro a chance to play. The only solution is for Gordon to pick up the best players and only players that can play football.  So far I can hear Gordon singing the very same song that was sung by Pitso and we are going to pack our backs so early and watch other countries in our country as usual.  In all our friendly games I am not convinced that we can win a single game.
Maswikaneng Nicholus, Pretoria

Prior to 2010 World cup our former captain Aaron Mbazo and his coaches were always talking about the 'Learning curve' as an excuse for losing. Now is Bongani Khumalo and Gordon they're talking about 'Progress' which progress are they talking about because we dont score goals and thats a fact.I have never heard any Bafana coach on post match interview saying the team played poorly today, always there is progress, learning curve, positive and stuff but still there is no destiny
Alonso Tarlton,Mogale city

Following Bafana's draw against Algeria one would have expected coach Igusand to be honest with himself during post match interviews by stating that the huffing and puffing on the part of his team suggests that he won't reach the semis of the Afcon. But I understand why he said that he was satisfied with his charges except for lack of goals because had he stated the whole truth and nothing else but the truth people would have accused him of not being a good
motivator and probably not good enough to lead Bafana in the Afcon.
Setlaboswana Edwin

Once you talk too as a leader then you are guaranteed to loose a touch! Our coach Gordon talks too much...soon he'll become his own enemy. I love my country but the reality is we're going nowhere as iy stands. We can't ignore an international experience that Teko has, how do you explain the exclusion of "General" going to this big tournament. Teko distribution of the ball is excellent, the boy can shoot from range also. Coach Gordon, convince the nation on the field of play rather than your talking! You can justify the exclusion of Teko but we want results. Good luck Bafana
Mikzo Mahesu, Hunguta poto, Magona

I was impressed by Bafana performance on Saturday night, d guys played well although we didn’t score, however Kg Dikgaoci as well as our skipper look very promising judging by their performance our hope lies to them.
Kuphumla Stemele, Alice

The question is still will this bafana emulate the class of ’96. The answer is no a big no. I had respect for GI hoping he can turn things around but I was mistaken. First round exit is looming.

After Bafana's draw with Algeria the concern is how are we going to Win games when we don't score goals? Gordon must attack with the on form strikers like Rantie & Parker! Mphela & Majoro should be used as impact players or elements of surprise! The current Bafana Bafana players have an opportunity to correct the past failures! It would be a sad history if these players cannot break the jinx of progressing further in major tournaments! In Gordon we have faith, please make us proud as it is now or never!
Patrick Pilane, Sebokeng

Gordon Igesund risks losing credibility if he expresses satisfaction with not missing any chances though his team hasn’t scored. You first have to create chances in order for you to be in a position to miss them. The Furman-Dikgacoi partnership needs to be looked at. Perhaps we’d be better served if we paired one of them with one of Mahlangu or Yeye for the group matches. When one is struggling to score goals, one cannot afford to play with 6 defensive minded players against the likes of Cape Verde. If we make it out of the group stages, only then shall we relook at this partnership as we’re likely to face far stronger opposition. No reply.

As a Madrid and CR7 Fan, it’s naturally saddening to see a player from a direct rival flourishing; it was hard to accept that experts think Messi is better than Ronaldo. This weekend games painted a brand new picture, Messi is in no way ten folds better than CR7 and this is not a solace statement, but both players are very good. What set them apart are the teams they play for. Barcelona always take care of the business, small or big team they crush it to the ground, Messi is a pivotal part of the well oiled machines, but they can do it without him. Madrid has all the big names, but pound for pound the quality from Barca is second to none. The latter are much a greater team, while the former rely heavily on CR7, he is the glue that binds them together and at present, he is solely responsible for Madrid being a great team as opposed to being just a regular team. Testimony to this is the game against the struggling Ossasuna over the weekend, Madrid was completely flat and one can’t help but wonder if things would have been different if their talisman was not suspended.
Paballo Lefakane, Meadowlands

I'm worried about the way our national team is playing, although chances are being created, we are unable to bury them and that is gonna be our downfall in the upcoming AFCON. Ngoako Phuti Phooko Ngwanallela

To Gordon: if u want to lose your job continue to field Mphela every game even when he is firing  blanks. Bafana has been doing everything right but scoring for a while now so Gordon must put Mphela on the bench and start with Major and Parker up-front  if he has any hopes of progressing to the quarter finals of AFCON 2013

Well done to Mr Gordon Igesund, hope he's real proud of himself. He has managed to divide our country into 2 and turn us against our own country. I, along with many have finally seen the light. I have exhausted every last bit of support, love ad patience when it come to ZebraBafana. NO MORE. The exclusion of Jali ( 1 of the best midfielders this country has ever seen), and then we have to listen to some weak and pathetic 'injury' excuse was the last straw. Whose fooling who here. All that talk about performance, not names. Funny how the same names r still dominating his squad. Wow, this man talks a good game, totally got us fooled. I am done and dusted with Bafana. Over my dead body will I support this team let alone buy a ticket. A person can only take so much!!!!!!!
Phatheka Wongo

Back in 2007 when Bafana last played in Cape Town, fans jam-packed Newlands Stadium to full capacity. Once again the Western Cape fans has done their part on the Norway game with a first-class attendance that they deserve more games. I know that SAFA is allergic to bringing games in Western Cape because of hostility treatment their normally receive from the DA lead Local Authority. Regrettably addicted soccer fans are left in misery because of the clash of egos between these two entities (SAFA and City of Cape Town). Let’s hope sanity will prevail on these two bodies and common grounds be reached as Western Cape supporters needs football and football needs Western Cape Supporters.

Amakhosi only lost one, pirates lost dan chiefs bt the difference is one u wl da maths whn chiefs have 3loses what wl be da point difference between these 2teams

I think Bafana will never qualify to the semi finals of Afcon' 13. I've just realised that we don't have strikers & we'll experience the same problem which England is facing. More foreigners in our league. Can we rely on Mphela & Majoro?                               DERRICK "Obama" KHUMALO, GP

The signing of RvP by my beloved RD was described by many as a waste of money some were saying he is an injury prone, age is no longer in his side,he won't flourish at Old Traffor because of his style of play etc..but look now who has the last laugh the doubting Thomases are eating humble pies as we speak..RvP is a goalscoring machine that's a fact, can't wait for the end of the season to see my Red Devils lifting the EPL Trophy for the 20th time.GGMU BBM MDLALOSE,MTUBATUBA

I would like to urge  Gordon Igesund to make ammendments on his current squad where it is clearly that Andile jali is missing on that pivotial midfield. We need someone of jali calibre who can mark, distribute balls and who make tackles on that midfield,FIBBY ROFHIWA NDOU,DIEPSLOOT

Bafana know how to play, but we still face the same problem once again. Why can’t Gordon play Majoro? Or is Majoro the secret weapon? KG is a flop. What does GI see in that guy? Without Shaba and Yeye, Bafana are nothing.

The title race is on 35 for Kaizer chiefs  and the Buccaneers are close with
34 points. As  a PIRATES die hard supporter we want TREBLE BACK 2 BACK

What happened on the sale ofMoroka Swallows. What blocked the potenial buyer Doseb.I wish someone can buy our team .to get rid of Prins. What is preventing him from signing quality players.

The Afcon is getting tougher day by day and group C and D is more exciting. Zambia need to beat Burkina Faso at all cost same as Nigeria because if they fail, they gonna be the first champion to be knocked in the group stages. In group D Ivory Coast is qualified but Togo and Tunisia are tied. Their final game it gonna be a cracker, just hope that the middle men(mr ref) wil be fair.

South African fans, our national team is playing not our teams, let's stop all this things of Chiefs having more players because our coach(Gordon) know exactly what he's doing. All the players are not representing their teams bt our national team.

First of all I want to wish Bafana Bafana luck for their last game against Morocco. Let's forget about what some of the fans had said(negative) and concetrate on helping our national team by filling up the stadium, let's blow our vuvuzelas and make sho that the opposition teams feel pressure. I hope every South African is ready for tomorrow's game(Suday).
