Sundowns management is clueless and they are making my club the laughing stock of the PSL by always chasing every player who plays one game well even when we have good players in that position. My plea to Sundowns is to give these players three years together and sign no player in those years. We will reap the rewards.
Kgabo Patrick Mohlaloga, Jhb
South African football lovers let’s face it, we don’t have good players in the country. Most of our players are warming the bench in third or fourth tier leagues in Europe and we expect those who miss sitters in the PSL every week to score for our country.
Kgabo Patrick Mohlaloga, Jhb
Look I don’t believe we are improving as a country. There is a huge gap between the PSL and SAFA. The PSL should somehow be working closely with SAFA. Personally I believe the big 3 should be pushing at least for regular local players. What do you think?
Mhlonishwa2189
I'm surprised about people who criticise Pitso and I'm also sure they’re all Chips fans. I mean Cameroon, Nigeria and Egypt also did not qualify but they don't talk too much about their coaches. Bafana played against Zambia and Ghana because those teams asked for friendly matches to prepare themselves for AFCON. If we have qualified we could also needed practice matches to prepare our team before the AFCON. We must accept that football is not only about in mzantsi. Chiefs fans and media stop criticising and support football, Chips don't win titles because they’re always against Pirates...Hela yalo sani! 051 Siwelele,Ke taba eo!!

Tuesday 31/01/12 at 17HOO was the day when I came to a conclusion that Bobby Motaung knew what he was saying when he asked “Whose team (Chiefs) is this, anyway?” I want to appeal to all my Khosi faithful that it’s time we accept and move on. I was hurt when he said those words, I have been hurt ever since, but not anymore. What’s happening to other teams will never happen in our team e.g. while what supporters of other teams comment about their teams is regarded as “making an input” by their respective team’s bosses, we are considered as “interfering” at our team (Chiefs). One of these days, a statement will read “Stop with your interference”. So let us keep our opinions to ourselves before we get humiliated once again. I know there are many questions like 1. Where is the stadium that was supposed to be built? 2. How come the transfer window is such a “delicate” process to Makhosi? 3. Why do we have to always hear about the budget, the inflation rate and all that when we have to sign good players while other teams are busy reinforcing their squads respectively? 4. Why are our players barred from talking to the media? 5. Where is the PRO? These remain unanswered questions.
Lesley Maoba
Cape Town is the step child of South African football when it comes to national team games. We don't get Bafana games, not even those warm up games. SAFA should do something so we can feel part of our national team.
Maria Mariti
Senegal were over confident. I'm not surprised they went home early. This is a big warning to the Elephants (Ivory Coast). As for Botswana, they are a big embarrassment to Southern Africans one can’t help but wonder how they qualified. Zambia were simply brilliant in representing Africa.
Morris Rirhadzu Mtileni
Based on the fact that Chiefs failed to sign "expensive players" I can feel the pain that other supporters are going through. But let me say it's high time we demand explanations from senior management or board of directors of what is going on within this great team. Because I strongly believe that Bobby is scape goat and as any other employee he can't go in public and give more of details about policy of signing players. It's clear that Bobby is meeting Board of Directors objectives and the board is happy about what the team is achieving off the field, that is the money they receive when selling players abroad. I find it unfair to compare Bobby (Team manager) and Irvin Khoza (Chairman), as Bobby has to consult with the board on buying expensive player while Irvin can make decision and report later to the Board. I suggest that all Chiefs card carrying members to boycott the renewal of their annual membership until senior management takes us seriously as we understand profits they make off the field, but we didn't chose to support this team for the money they have but success on the field.
Vusi Cebekhulu, Orange Farm
As an Orlando Pirates FC membership card holder, I would like to welcome all our 5 new signing players in Park Town. Feel free & no pressure from us the fans. We chose you just because of your capability on-the-field, not off-the-field. Once a Champion always goes for the best in order to compete with the best. Africa here we come!
Richmphiwa Malatsoane, Makgakgapatse
The reason Kaizer Chiefs fail to sign top players is because they are arrogant. They don’t have a good relationship with other teams, plus they don’t want to pay teams good money for their players. They look down on small teams forgetting that they need them when they want to sign their players. Bobby needs to get off his high horse. This is football baba!
Shandiz Enuz
I'd like to welcome Sifiso Myeni and Luis Boa-Morte and all our new signings to the home of the champs. Familiarise yourselves with the trophies you see in that cabinet because that's the life you chose. You guys are champs. Thanks to the Iron Duke, you sir are the best?

Hidden agendas and hypocrisy are the reasons behind our soccer's crises. It is clear to me that in the case of SAFA's coaching conference, the 'stay away' action of the PSL coaches was well planned and executed. It’s insane for anyone to believe that the problems faced by Bafana Bafana can be addressed without the engagement of the PSL coaches. The second point is the hypocrisy, as shown by Neil Tovey from his radio comments. To him the gathering of coaches was a success and paved the way forward for the betterment of SA soccer. How can SA move forward without the PSL? That's crazy! Is Tovey also hiding his personal agenda?
Anton Nene Mahlangu
I just wish Leal would be able to use the players that Mr Khoza a.k.a "the toothless one" has signed. If he fails to reach the semis in the Champions League, the door will be wide open for him!
Eric2070
Dear sir, Happy people do not worry or waste your time with a Doctor Khumalo that turned to a Nurse Khumalo. Instead let us the Happy People shower praise on Dr. Khoza for buying the best of the best players during the transfer period that will make the opposing teams even more jealous. We have outclassed them both on and off the field of play. I say once again there are only two teams in Mzansi, Orlando Pirates and the rest...whoever they might be, UP THE BUCS
Dawood Fish, Randburg
I don't get why Pirates don't invest in strikers to help Benni instead of useless old players. Just a thought.
Khuleks
The way Witbank Spurs’ administration is run leaves a lot to be desired. When they see a good player, they give him to Pirates. Recently they took Mthimkhulu to Pirates and another Mthimkhulu is rumoured to be on his way to Mayfair. Pirates don't bother loaning Spurs players. Or maybe Spurs is not planning to be promoted anytime soon.
Delisa Khumalo, Witbank
SAFA are playing with us. they are making plans for 2020 because they know that they will not be in office anymore by that time when Bafana comes up very short of the targets they have set. this "highly regarded symposium" is just a ploy to keep us quite. Instead of holding symposium between themselves, they should be trying to hold talks with the PSL. The psl calender must be changed to match that of CAF, and there should be no Psl action two weeks before every Bafana game. Our junior national teams should play less matches against Cosafa teams; Because our u23's can easily beat Lesotho 5-0, Zimbabwe 3-0, but lose 2-0 against Egypt or Nigeria! And Bafana should play at least 90% of its friendlies AWAY FROM HOME. we are tired of hearing those excuses about the pitch, the referee, the heat and even the hotel whenever they lose an away game. if the conditions won't change, get used to them. taking nothing away from them, but surely if Botswana can qualify, we should've aswell!
VB Mabasa
What is happening at my beloved team , its not like the chiefs we all know that it will go out of its way to buy quality , since bob steak's era we are second best to pirates and sundowns. Kaizer snr pls do something before our supporters do floor crossing n u will b forced to watch ur team in empty stadiums.

1.he is stubborn:arrogant and power wielding dictator. He does not and will never understand the culture Mamelodi Sundowns and its people, the supporters. His arrogance has had him fired by from the Swaziland Football assc, and Black Leorpards respectively. In his dealing with SUPPORTERS; he has had a total fallout. 2. He has personally got involved in the case of D.Mudau for reasons of finding a written confession from the Nellmapius branch chairman to use it to oust certain members in the management at that time. The supporters picked this up. 3. He has developed a personal hatred and confrontational with the mamelodi west chair, including to use his powers to connive with the local structure to get rid of the chairman. Supporters picked it up too. 4. He has been fed and is feeding incorrect information relating to supporter sentiments to the club management and has not been hands on to supporters relations; especially in Gauteng North where majority of supporters are.
5. His personality of disrespect to people and trends does not represent what the Downs brand stands for. He remains an outcast to the brand he claims to represent. The facts are clear and simple. The sundowns brand is going nowhere With the likes of makhanya. He can be the best administrator but building the best brand is not only by admin alone. It is cultivating the right culture with critical organs of the club. This man has missed it all that. In closure; bring back natash tschicklas. Thank u. Observers and

SAFA is really governed by short-sighted people. Do they think we care about CAF ratings? I don’t care what number we are as long as we participate well at every AFCON & WC. What kind of mandate is that aiming for CAF rating? Yerr these moegoes!

I fail to understand why Bafana Bafana players can’t compete with the big boys in AFCON yet ZAMBIA can do it with players from our own PSL. Doesn’t make sense, we claim to be the best league in AFRICA, what does this tell us about our standard of football in SOUTH AFRICA.
please can MBALULA fire Safa president KIRSTEN and his boy PITSO ASAP.

I laughed till tears came out of my eyes as I watched my dad ‘s face as she reads that Zim players especially chiefs players (his team) are suspected to be in a match fixing scandal and might be suspended , he said ‘ I knew it, hell I bloody knew it Bobby’s buy one get two mahala don’t last long ,they are the same as fong kong clothes of a certain country in Asia now I know why Iron Duke goes for quality .now my dad has asked how to get membership card for happy people (Pirates) and I told him to remain at Naturena cause we don’t want any disturbance as operation skhukula, operation tsunami, operation earthquake ,operation nkanyamba invades Africa. ntate Khoza dumela dumela hlee libuccaner laka (singing to spite his dad).

In response to a number of misinformation about Jomo Sono's stint at New York Cosmos, our journalists need to dig deeper about facts instead of relying on self chest-beating distortions. The Americans are meticulous with their records which will show that Sono was a serial bench-warmer at New York Cosmos! His performance was so poor that he was prematurely off-loaded but was graciously offered a business study scholarship by the team. To claim he was a better performer than the great Pele is purely a figment of somebody's imagination. Pele was beyond his 40s age-wise while playing for New York Cosmos and Sono and other strikers were alternatively used to relieve the old man of his tired legs.Sono most probably never played for more than 15 minutes per match while at New York Cosmos! He would score a goal here and there and that was it. Any comparison with Sir Alex Ferguson is simply a worst mischief!

Fabian McCarthy is day dreaming. The Nfd and Psl teams don't sign local thirty four year olds. The other thing counting against him is that he has not played for six months. These teams only sign Internationals who are or have been active in the last few seasons.

Foreign players should not be allowed to play in our Vodacom league. That would hamper the development of our fellow South Africans. They won't be adding any value in a development league. Foreign players who can't play in the elite league should go elsewhere.

May somebody remind Khoza that what Orlando Pirates need is not a lot of midfielders but strikers. As for Chiefs it is a pity they will not win anything this season as their players are not consistent and the day they meet Pirates they will be embarassed as they don't have plan B.For Leopards it is only one way-NFD. They should have bought experienced players when they were promoted. Expect another loss from Pirates when the league resumes..

Players coming from the football wilderness always say we know what they are capable of. With those words ringing in their minds they never reach the peak we expect from them. They don't want to put their heads on the block and say "I want to prove to the teams that I'm a good player".

Chiefs can't sign anybody from the local teams, cause once they heard that chiefs is interested in certain player the price tag goes sky high that means they don't want to do business with chiefs so the signing of Amidu is good they seen the potential in him soon he will be the talk of the town, well done for renewing the contract for some players in the squad and please give Ngcobo a contract he is an asset to the team now its time for them to repay the chairman's trust by winning the league this season chiefs squad is good the players must pull up the socks and play for chiefs not for themselves.

The big headed Pitso survived the axe, thanks to his lucky stars or ancestors in African way of saying things. SAFA did well by talking hard with him even though his time was NOW to vacate the hot seat.As a country, lets leave being bias &give guys like Igesund, Hunt, Farouk Khan's etc to have a go at taking a country to new heights. I bet my last breath, Pitso wont fulfill the mandate given to him for upcoming Afcon.

Apparently information was leaked that said SAFA gave Pitso a mandate to win next AFCON but SAFA quickly went public to deny the report. They said Pitso must only qualify for quarter finals, what a joke! Are SAFA afraid of Pitso and why must we always aim so low? Then the next coach will be told to just qualify for the semis. Which coach will be told to bring the trophy?

I just feel heart broken when I read about Jabu Mahlangu still seeking a team. Really I thought I was dreaming, Jabu is now 31! If rumours are true that Thabo Nthete is on his way to Pirates,he is heading for career onslaught,Pirates signs lot of players every season for the same position.Instead he should learn from his ex teamates that they achieved nothing at Bucs,ie the likes of Jury Merahe,Seema and Mothibantwa. The dangled carrot that is put before him might be a rotten one as he is at the peak of his career.Staying with Siwelele can do him good than enduring a pain of frustration on the bench.

Ghana(not Ivory Coast) remains my favorite bet to be crowned African champs in the fascinating 28th AFCON edition. The rationale behind my argument is because the team is literally unpredictable as they don't heavely rely on big.name players but a coherent teamwork. Simply put, the team is comprised mainly of young massive talents which has got a lot to prove in the international level, so hoisting this prestigious continental trophy is imperative to this enterprising Black Stars team. Having said that, its's not going to be hunky-dory enroute to the championship as the Elephants pose a vigorous threat to Ghana's ambitions, albeit so predictable with their direct play.

I have to commend Dr Irvin Khoza for all he has done for Orlando Pirates. The last-minute signing of Myeni demonstrates just how serious he is about making this club a force domestically and in the African continent. And with the rich history of this club as we saw and heard in the 75th anniversary celebrations, we can only get better going forward. Happy people forever.

The way Christiano Ronaldo is playing this season has impressed me. I've been very astonished at his high work rate and dedication. The team plays as a unit and work hard for each other. And the burden of scoring goals is shared among the team as was the case last weekend against Getafe when Ramos netted the winner. We can win the title this season and I wanna urge the whole team to keep producing positive results. Also I was touched by Mourinho when he went to congratulate Masilela on his individual performance. Keep it up mfethu.

This matter of Egypt it's questionable, i dont understand why the league games were not put on hold.
