Valero: Lamps Would Suit Viola
11 January 2013
Fiorentina midfielder Borja Valero believes that Chelsea veteran Frank Lampard would fit their style of play amid speculation that the England international is set to leave Stamford Bridge.
The 34-year-old sees his contract with the Blues come to an end in the summer, and he is likely to leave the club, according to his agent.
With no contract talks having been mentioned by the club or player, Valero has revealed that Lampard would be a perfect fit at the Viola.
"Lampard would be perfect for the type of game we want to play," he stated at a press conference.
"But the players are only thinking of playing, we leave what happens in the transfer market to the club."
Fiorentina have enjoyed a stunning season so far, and are currently up in fourth place on the league table as they chase Champions League qualification.
“We have to continue the way we have been so far. The club must remain near the top of the table," he added.
“We will try until the very last game to get into the Champions League, but there are many team in this League that can do the same."

Valero and Marcos Senna were great pair. Loserpool should have went for Valero rather than that guy loaned from Madrid;Nuri Sahin. And letting Maxi go instead of Stuart Drowning was bad decision.
