United Sidestep CR7 Speculation
17 January 2013
Manchester United refuse to confirm or deny that they are interested in bringing Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford.
CR7 insisted earlier this week that he is likely to see out his contract with Real Madrid, but the rumour mill continues to link him to a dramatic return to United, where he exploded into the stratosphere of world football.
Ronaldo will certainly be back at United when they welcome Real in the next round of the Uefa Champions League in just over one months’ time.
But that is as far as the club’s chief executive, David Gill, is prepared to look into the future.
He sidestepped the speculation that Alex Ferguson is plotting bring Ronaldo back.
"He [Ronaldo] is a brilliant player but he is contracted for the next two-and-a-half years at Madrid,” Gill told Sky Sports News HD.
"We are looking forward to welcoming him back, he will get a great reception at Old Trafford in early March and that is all we have got to say."

Mediocore is when you praise someone who only seem to perform in a good team. Achievement as in CR7 case is when you inspire an average team to higher heights. CR7 does not need a good team but makes the team good through his individual efforts.

This article is about CR7 not some small boy who has achieved absolutely nothing with his country snr national team. The editor writes about CR7 because he knows he is a megastar. This is the same CR7 who is envied by his supporters and 'enemies' alike. This is the same CR7 who became portugal captain at 22 years of age.

Yes CR7 has achieved with Portugal snr team. Live with it! Yes CR7 is the most complete player. Live with it! Yes CR7 is the best in the world on the field of play irrespective of media voting booth. If you cannot live with it, eat cement and drink paraffin then you will be strong.

Some of barca/messi fans are so ignorant they defy logic. How can you argue that when a team moves from 1 stage to the next. In a tournament they are achieving? Africans celebrated when Ghana reached the quarterfinals of the world cup in 2010. Are you now claiming that was not an achievement? Well, now I understand why Valdes is leaving. He could not bear type of fans like you anymore.

Its only a rumour mill after all, should he see out his contract as to what he says, i think it will be a bad idea for him to return to Old Trafford putting in mind his age at the time. But football being football, the unexpected often happens. He is still great certainly.
