Roura Heaps Praise On Villa

Barcelona assistant coach Jordi Roura believes that striker David Villa will get back to his best soon.
The Spain striker helped Barca to an emphatic 7-0 aggregate win over Cordoba in the Copa del Rey with two stunning strikes in their 5-0 win on Thursday night.
Roura admits that he was impressed by the whole team, but took the opportunity to also single out Villa's performance.
"If there is something worth noting about this performance it is the attitude and ambition displayed by all the players," he told Marca.
"This was a game that we may have entered with a more conservative approach given our first leg victory. However, the desire to put on a show was evident in every player.
"I take my hat off to the players. They were exceptional in the first half and played with great intensity and to a very high level. Their attitude is remarkable and this needs to be recognised.
"Villa's goals were great. He is an exceptional player and he had a great match. It has showed us what we all know, that he is an important player for us.
"He's a real goalscorer and bit by bit, he'll get back to his best level and be even more important for us.
"Alexis helps us a lot, it's admirable how hard he works. It's a good thing he could score, that's important. He had several matches where he struggled to make it count. Today, fortunately, he has put that streak behind."

@Jommak I also have players I feel should start. @Barca_4sky so we can't play with false 9 nd true 9 tht's Y there's no space 4 Villa 4 now as Pedro n Sanchez are doin well on da wings. In 2010/2011 we scored many goals than Dinho's nd Eto'o's error.

@Jommak i hear u loud n clear!!@City nw m tellin u my opinion in my book Etto was da best 9 dat we eva hd in da team!!n wen he left i was hurt cause i did nt tink we cod eva replace him!Villa is da closest pleya who cod do wat Etto use 2do dats y i blv he shd b given a Fair go bt if Sanchez n Pedro r doin well den i hv no complains!as long as da pleyr plyn in front of him is beta or doin a gd Job..& Leo is nt plyn in his position he is plyn as a false9 eva since Ibra left!cause Wen we won UCL we hd Leo,Pedro n Villa..Villa was plyn on da left,Pedro on da right.Leo was a False9.. wat m tryn 2say is Villa is competin wit Pedro n Sanchez as leo is Ur MVP....bt if da 2 r nt perfoming den questions hv 2b asked..

Sure cule @City, we support the selected team even while we may have our favorite players, I personally want to see Tello play more for him to gel quicker with the team, just like I felt under Frank that Messi & Iniesta were not getting the time I wished for them, but I can never attack a Barca coach's selection, esp one doing as well as Tito is, so let's all support the team cules...

@Barca_4sky don't hate da playa cule but hate da game. Ur statements tell it like it is, there are many equally deservin players on da bench but u stand 4 Villa. Only striker or not Messi is doin well in his position nd da team is well oiled 4 even a blind man 2 c.

@City if u favour Certain plyaz in da team dats ur problem nt mine dont speak on my behalf!! Villa is just another pleya in da team cause i lv dem all da same way!i only stood 4 Villa cause he is da only striker dat we hv!!Cause if i was supporting Pleyaz i wod hv left barca wen!!Rivaldo,Figo,Dinho,Ronaldo da phenominon,Kluivert,Etto,..hd left den i wod hv gone wit dem 2!!so pls dont say tings dat u dont knw anytin abt..i come along way wit ds team Since 1899!!barca i remain!!
