Real 'Keeper Refutes Mou/CR7 Bust-Up
18 January 2013
Real Madrid goalkeeper Antonio Adan has been thrust into the limelight for the first time in his career this season, after Jose Mourinho promoted him ahead of Los Blancos and Spain skipper, Iker Casillas.
And it is Adan who has been delivered to the media to refute the growing claims of a volatile bust-up between Mourinho and Real superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo.
Wildfire reports in the Spanish media suggest that Mou and CR7 almost came to blows after Real’s Copa del Rey win over Valencia earlier this week.
Towards the end of the match the pair were seen arguing, and it has been claimed that journalists heard the fireworks continuing in the dressing room after the final whistle.
It has even been reported that other Real players were forced to intervene to stop the two Portuguese men from coming to blows.
However, Adan insists that the only blows are those sending the story out of proportion.
He claims that all is well behind the scenes at the Bernabeu.
"This confrontation did not even happen, the coach gave an opinion, the player gave his and we are all adults," Adan said, according to Soccernet.
"You can give different opinions even if they are opposed, with the player showing respect for the coach, and the coach towards the player."
Meanwhile, Adan also insists there have been no negative ramifications of his surprise promotion ahead of Casillas.
"Our relationship is very good," he said of the legendary ‘St Iker’.
"Apart from being team-mates, we are friends. He has been great with me. Casillas is the captain of Real Madrid and Spain. He brings together all the values of a footballer and a team-mate. He has helped me at all times and given me his support and trust."

Most of the RM fans I know had stopped their adoration of Mou when they witness the thuggery of his team, the eye poking incident allowed them to voice their dislike.so those who can ignore the thuggery, the repeated & calculated 'conditioning' of match officials, the eye poking, and instructing the team to lose so he can continue lying to the media, are of two kinds;the 'accountants',ie those who know the score but don't get the game, and the amoral guttersnipes who are fully in accord with the 'special one' s conduct.neither of these are open to persuasion, none of them are worth the multitude of skin cells abraded on your keyboards.

@hlubzin - wat about Madrid under Pellegrini? Against tough opponents, you cant expect any team to not try be a bit tight at the back and midfield.

If a team can absorbe pressure 4 the majority of tym while the other tries 2 break through that makes em defencive 2 me and we always see that approach when Madrid plays a fair opponent but I saw em attack City this season though. As 4 Mou i've neva seen an attacking team coached by him Inter, Chelsea and now Madrid, i neva followed his career at Porto...

@kvitova - what did your benitez do to a Mou treble winning team with his "great" tactics? He had the same players but he had to be fired coz he sucked!

@hlubzin - do you honestly see Madrid as a defensive team? if so, how? The last defensive Madrid team in my opinion was that of Capello. By the way, dont say they are defensive coz Barca dominates possession against them!

RM sucked so far these season.mou's a one-tricky pony.Rafa Benitez has far more tactical nous,he can play anti-football like mou but,he can also manage a team full of fast, technical, creative players.mou can't,never will either.no confidance in his players, too scared to be a protagonist on the field, easier to court dimwitted journalist & establish mourinho brand.

Mou has failed RM.he achieved nothing with his twisted ego.uncle Flo will definately show him the door,I know for sure.but Uncle Flo will yet again pitch a circus tent in the middle east,he will definately need a livestock, especially Ronaldo to market the expo.remember a decade back, immediately after Becakham was signed, they were parading the inflated galactico mob of overated footballers on open chariots like prized cattles, across Hong Kong,Bangkok and many other footballing hotspots.the ill fated splash might once again unfold in the middle east during offseason with all the current & ex florention flops paraded on top of carmels.
