Oscar Loving Chelsea Life
09 November 2012
Liverpool had best look out: Chelsea starlet Oscar is itching to net his first Premier League goal for the Blues, and the Reds are their next opponents.
The young Brazilian has been a midfield revelation for Chelsea this season, and has scored four goals, all of them in Europe.
He is diminutive and slight, but Oscar has the potential to become one of the giants of the game.
Allied to his exceptional technical ability is his cerebral playing style, and his well-taken goal against Shakhtar Donetsk was a perfect example of his ability to marry his positive characteristics.
The Brazil international is more than satisfied with how his nascent Chelsea career has gone so far.
He feels he has settled in well at Stamford Bridge after his big-money move, and is anxious to make his good form tell in the goals-for column in the Premier League as soon as possible.
"I feel as though I have settled in well in the league as well, even if all my goals so far have come in the Champions League," Oscar said.
"We're playing well in both competitions and the most important thing for me is that I'm adapting myself to Chelsea.
"I have to keep that process going, keep getting used to my team-mates and, in the Champions League and the Premier League, I can do better.
"It's a very different sort of football in particular and it does take some getting used to.
"These are my first experiences in English football so, naturally, there is a process of adaptation as I get used to the different environment, but I am pleased with everything so far.
"And every game I play I get more used to it so I know I will keep getting better."
Matches between Chelsea and Liverpool in the Premier League era are traditionally explosive, and Stamford Bridge would surely erupt if Oscar can find his first league goal against the Reds on Sunday.
What have you made of Oscar so far?
