Chelsea Stars SMS Mou
15 February 2012
Porto president Pinto Da Costa has continued to hold forth on Andre Villas-Boas' status at Chelsea.
Da Costa thinks that former Porto boss AVB is safe in his job at Chelsea for now, provided he manages to gain qualification for next season's Uefa Champions League.
The Blues are currently in fifth place on goal difference, behind Arsenal who occupy the EPL's last Champions League berth.
There has been much speculation over AVB's future at Stamford Bridge, in the context of the club's quick-to-fire recent history.
And while Da Costa believes AVB could be there for the long haul, he says the young manager is being undermined by his own players.
Apparently, a handful of Chelsea stars have been sending text messages to their former coach Jose Mourinho. And this communication has the potential to dilute AVB's already tepid authority, Da Costa says.
"[Villas-Boas] will be successful with Chelsea because his contract isn't just for one year,” the Porto big wig told La Gazzetta dello Sport.
"He needs time to mould his own team and he can't do that as long as there are players, as I've heard, who exchange text messages with Mourinho. And [Roman] Abramovich knows this.
"The only thing that will topple Villas-Boas is if he fails to qualify for the Champions League."

I like his tactical ability to read the game,he makes a good manager at chelsea. They should give him some time to build the team well and everything will fall in to place.

People forget that Rome was not built in the same day. As much as I hate Chelsea I think this young manager has a chance to bring in trophies at the Blues.

Chelsea bought 'younger players' AVB doesnt play them , Lukaku was targeted by Madrid and many top teamS but he hasnt played more that 2O min a game , he is top scorer in Chelsea reserves . Lucas Paizon cost chelsea £5m , he is 18 , he doesnt play him . The is a left back called Bertread he is 22 , played over 19O games out on loan since he was 17 but AVB doesnt play him when Cole is suspended or injured , He's always on the bench. AVB must just quit no excuse. Mourinho has been in contact with the players a long time . It didnt start today , why dont you report about Lampards late night clubbing , there are pictures of that incedend so just drop this sms story . !!READY TO KILL , READY TO DIE!!
