Casillas: I Must Improve

Real Madrid captain Iker Casillas says that he is determined to show coach Jose Mourinho that he is the number one goalkeeper at the club.
The 31-year-old was dropped from the starting XI recently in a controversial decision by Mourinho, which has led fans to boo him at recent matches.
Casillas was restored to the team following Antonio Adan's sending off on Sunday and went on to make some superb saves in their 4-0 Copa del Rey win over Celta Vigo on Wednesday.
"I'm not going through a bad spell, but I have to train more and better and show that I deserve to be in the team. I have to show Mourinho that he made a mistake," he told reporters at a publicity event.
"I don't mind him saying that I was too comfortable in the team, because he is in charge of the team, and it's what he believes."
"He didn't give me an explanation when he dropped me, but I don't think he has to say anything to me. It was a decision he took and that must be respected."
Casillas admits that winning the league title will be difficult this season, but urged the team to keep fighting.
"It's a team game, not for individuals. Last season it was very hard work to win the league, but well worth it," he continued.
"Certainly we have had some bad games, and we know it is practically impossible to win the league, but we must continue fighting as much as possible."

@Isinomakanjani and Boykiss u are both correct. Before they had 1 common goal but after they achieved it smhw their egos where 2 big 4 em 2 share the glory. Like a great man once said the only time u hav 2 reflect on ur achievement is when u retired...

@hlubzin, at real madrid is big ego vs huge ego. The manager who believes he is the greatest. He moved from being the special one, n now he calls himself the only one. The goal keeper who believes he is real madrid itself since he came through its academy. The defender who has grown so big that even in the national team he has competition. And many stars, not to mention the SUN. Its a team where pride n arrogance are nurtured!
