If you are a betting person, here are tips ahead of the weekend’s action brought to you by Soccer 6 and guest predictor, SuperSport United defender, Roscoe Pietersen. For more info on these and other fixtures, go to the Soccer 6 website here or the Soccer 6 mobi-site here!
ARSENAL V WEST BROMWICH ALBION
League position: Arsenal 10th and West Brom 5th
Useful facts: Displaying the kind of poor form that is prompting many to question Arsene Wenger’s future, Arsenal desperately need a win at the Emirates. They won’t have it all their own way as they take on Steve Clarke’s impressive Albion outfit.
Roscoe Pietersen: Arsenal will win, they have to come back.
ASTON VILLA V STOKE CITY
League position: Villa 16th and City 9th
Useful facts: Villa are struggling to hit the back of the net with their strike force of Christian Benteke, Andreas Weimann and Gabriel Agbonlahor not firing. This means a defensively sound Stoke outfit could fancy their chances at Villa Park.
Roscoe Pietersen: Stoke away win.
SOUTHAMPTON V READING
League position: Southampton 18th and Reading 19th
Useful facts: Two of the Premiership’s worst defences face off in this bottom of the table clash in England. Both teams do have plenty of goal scoring ability, meaning this encounter could be a high scoring affair.
Roscoe Pietersen: I’ll have to go for a draw.
SUNDERLAND V CHELSEA
League position: Sunderland 17th and Chelsea 3rd
Useful facts: Despite having a coach of the calibre of Martin O’Neill, Sunderland just can’t seem to get going this season. The visit of a Chelsea side in turmoil could have come at just the right time for the Black Cats.
Roscoe Pietersen: I feel there will be a winner here. I’ll go for a Chelsea win.
SWANSEA CITY V NORWICH CITY
League position: Swansea 7th and Norwich 12th
Useful facts: Swansea are playing an attractive brand of passing football with their Spanish ‘Armada’ of Michu, Pablo Hernandez and Angel Rangel really catching the eye. This means a resurgent Norwich City outfit will have to produce a top performance at the Liberty Stadium.
Roscoe Pietersen: Swansea will win at home, man.
