AC Milan’s new coach Massimiliano Allegri does not expect David Beckham to return to the club. Beckham whom currently plays his club football in the MLS with LA Galaxy spent part of the last two seasons on loan with the Serie A club.

The former England captain got injured prior to the World Cup forcing him to withdraw from the team, although he remained part of the squad in a non-payer role, and has been recovering from his Achilles tendon injury ever since.

The 35-year-old has already ruled out a possible move to West Ham United, who had shown an interest, and should be joining up with his team mates in Los Angeles, in the beginning of August.

Becks was in the crowd during Milan and Arsenal’s 1-1 draw in a pre-season friendly at the Emirates Stadium, supporting his former Rossoneri team mates. Following the game Allegri was asked if Becks would ever be seen in the black and red jersey of Milan again.

“I do not think so,” Allegri told Sky Italy. “David is now recovering from a very bad injury and at that age it is very difficult to come back.”

He added, “But it has been a great pleasure for us to see him today.”
