Barcelona Respect Arsenal’s Stand On Cesc

Barcelona’s vice-president Josep Bartomeu has said that the club will respect Arsenal’s decision on not wanting to sell Cesc Fabregas and that there is no communication between the two clubs regarding the player.
The 23-year-old has made his intentions clear, stating that he wants to return to the club where he played his youth football and join up with a large part of his Spain World Cup winning team mates.
Barcelona had made the midfielder a target this summer but have had their £35 million offer turned down, with the Gunners showing no interest in seeing their captain leaving the club.
Bartomeu has indicated that the Catalan club want Fabregas at the Nou Camp but respect Arsenal’s decision of not wanting to negotiate.
“Both [sporting director] Andoni Zubizarreta and coach Pep Guardiola want Fabregas, but it is very difficult to return to an improved relationship with Arsenal,” Bartomeu told Spanish publication, Sport.
“We talked to the club and they told us that Fabregas was non-transferable. And there are no imminent negotiations in place because they do not want to sell.”
“We would like very much that the relationship between Fabregas and his manager, Arsene Wenger, return to normal. And we respect Arsenal's decision not to sell.”
Reports surrounding Fabregas suggest that he will remain at The Emirates for one more season before heading back home.
