The Siya crew can reveal that Amazulu’s midfielder, Thami Sangweni, will be jetting out of the country in the next couple of hours to try his luck in Italy.

Thami is the younger brother to Bafana Bafana strong defender, Siyabonga Sangweni, who himself is on the lookout for a new club.

According to the 21-year-old player’s agent, Ryan Hartslief from BigTime Sports, Sangweni will be leaving for Italy tonight.

“He’s going on trial and will be moving around Europe in a hope to secure a move. This is done with the blessing of his coach (Manqoba Mngqithi) and Amazulu. He’s young, with a big future ahead of him so we want to secure him an overseas move as soon as possible,” said Hartslief.

He further revealed that Mamelodi Sundowns have also shown interest in the player but they opted for “an overseas move before considering any local interest.”

Sangweni has been at Amazulu for two and a half seasons, with his contract coming to an end next season.

Mkhaya, it will be a good move if u can find a club at seri B n play more games. I also read that u r going to Cypris, i thnk that wil be even better cos u can sign 4 a top team khona n stil get gametime. If alelse fails chiefs need a defensive midfielder. Khosi elistrong, eligrandi , elingcah!
