How Augousti & Da Gama Fell Out!
Owen da GamaSoccer-Laduma exclusively broke the news of Owen da Gama’s decision to part ways with Bloemfontein Celtic earlier today, adding that the former Orlando Pirates coach now has his eye on the Platinum Stars job.
Sensational news has since emerged, making is clear that Da Gama’s departure came on the back of a heated argument with the club’s managing director Jimmy Augousti!
According to players, who requested to remain anonymous, and eyewitnesses on the day, Augousti and Da Gama had a fall-out on Tuesday that put a bitter end to their relationship and the coach’s tenure at the club.
“During training on Tuesday we saw Jimmy walk across the pitch towards Owen with the clear intent of having it out! They started arguing and Jimmy tried to head butt the coach and then started pushing and shoving him around. Owen ended up with a scratch on his head and the entire time they were screaming at each other,” revealed our informant.
The exact details of the argument is not yet known to Soccer-Laduma but it can be confirmed that the clash was the final nail in the coffin for Da Gama, who walked away from the club after months of conflict with the team’s management. The Siya crew will continue investigating.
