Ronaldinho Injured In Training
AC Milan suffered a serious blow yesterday when their Brazilian star Ronaldinho pulled up lame in training.
The former world player of the year will now miss the pre-season Emirates Cup against Arsenal this weekend, and more importantly, he also faces up to a month on the sidelines.
30-year-old Ronaldinho had only just commmitted his immediate future to Milan amidst speculation that he could leave the club for the MLS, and was said to be excited about the upcoming Serie A season.
His patience will now be tested with a period of recovery and physical therapy before he can get any game time under his belt.
"Last night, at the end of the day's second training session at Milanello, Ronaldinho complained of pain in his flexor muscle," read a statement on the club's official website.
"This afternoon the Brazilian will undergo medical checks."
