Euro Clubs Court US Star

The best American player yet, Landon Donovan, is weighing up offers to move to Europe.
Donovan has already had successful spells in Europe at Bayer Leverkusen, Bayern Munich and Everton, and looks certain to make a European return before the end of the transfer window.
After participating in the MLS All-Star's 5-2 loss to Manchester United yesterday, the talented attacker revealed that a number of teams had made contact with him regarding a transfer.
It is believed that Everton would jump at the opportunity to regain Donovan's services, and Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini is also said to be keeping tabs on the LA Galaxy man.
There is also allegedly interest in Donovan from the Italian Serie A.
"We have had transfer interest and we will have some time to think about it and see where it goes. There is interest from a number of teams," Donovan admitted yesterday.
MLS commissioner Don Garber is hopeful 28-year-old Donovan will rebuff his European suitors and commit to the MLS, where he has made an important impact.
"Landon is an incredibly important part of the American soccer movement and to have him lead MLS after performing on the world stage, is extremely valuable," Garber told Reuters.
"I am pleased that he renegotiated his deal for several more years and I hope that he will stay here for the rest of his career &(but) it's not my decision, it's Landon's decision and LA Galaxy's decision."
