No Cameroon Coaching Job For Igesund

Gordon Igesund

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Free State Stars coach Gordon Igesund is out of the race for the head coach position of the Indomitable Lions.

Soccer-Laduma previously reported the four time PSL league championship winning coach was on the short list for the job.

Soccer-Laduma has learnt that former German player-turned-coach Klaus Toppmoller is the favourite for the Cameroonian top job after it was rejected by former Dutchman Ronald Koeman.

Toppmoller started his international coaching job in 2006 when he managed the Georgian national team for two year.

The German is currently unemployed since he was dismissed as Georgian head coach in February 2008.

The post was left vacant by Paul Le Guen, who stepped down after the Indomitable Lions’ poor performance at the first African World Cup.

Still young for indomitable lions

Sorry Gordon! you are amongst the best coaches that this country has ever
produced, but coaching the indomitable lions requires more than you have.
Free State Stars proved to be huge for you, and you ran away from poor
Maritzburg United. So tell me how can you manage such a powerhouse name
(Cameroon) without national team coaching experience?

try your luck else where broer.
