May We Not Put Pressure On Wiseman Meyiwa - Reader’s Voice

South Africans are quick to glorify youngsters. We are always on the lookout for the next big star, the messiah of South African football.

That is not a bad thing, but it might break some of the youngsters who don't have the psychological capacity to deal with the pressure of high expectations.

How many of them have been labelled the "next Doctor Khumalo", only to be swallowed by the unforgiving nature of football?

The young Wiseman Meyiwa brought a glimmer of hope when he scored for Amakhosi against Cape Town City, drawing attention to his immense talent. With his performance came the high expectations of what he might offer.

Meyiwa is a talented young man, there is a lot that he can offer our football, but we have to be patient with him, and he needs to be patient with himself too.

Let's hope he will follow his name and go about the business of advancing his promising career with a wise and cool head.

The best we can do for him as a nation is not expecting him to walk while he should be crawling.

let's forget that he plays for chiefs, I'm saying his performance is average qha, you can even go back to his performances for sa you will see what I'm talking about, let's take chiefs blinkers off and judge the player purely based on what he is delivering please

Wiseman is average like others, it happened when Eckstein made his first appearance! The young boy who left a mark in PSL is PHAKAMANI mahlambi

@angam.. Tell me the player who last turne up on the starting eleven of the big team, at the age of 18 years...? On the official game when a team is playing whell bt not winning worse of all struggling to score goals...! He comes in and do just that.. So do u mean fans won't be demanding to c him on the field...? Or u are just blinded by ur hate for chiefs...? Lastly which decade Pirates to have given a chance to play at high level...? Playing for Big three comes with pressure on it own regardless of ur age...! So wipe the dust and have better mind striking reasoning..! My rat..

in my opinion there's nothing warranting putting pressure on that boy, his performance was nothing to write home about except for the goal he scored he was just an average player to me, I seriously don't get this halabalooba
